3 s.h. An introduction to accounting for governmental and non profit organizations. The course includes topics on accounting and reporting for the various funds and account groups used by governmental units including the use of budgetary and encumbrance accounting. The course also includes the new dual perspective financial reporting for governmental entities. This course includes accounting and reporting for college and universities, health care facilities and other non-profit organizations including voluntary health and welfare organizations, including governmentally and non-governmental operated non-profit organizations. Prerequisites: ACCT 232 with a "C" or better and JrS.
