3 s.h. An introduction to how the anatomy and physiology of the human body are changed by exercise. The effects of acute and chronic physical activity on the metabolism of the body, and the muscular, nervous, cardiovascular, and respitory systems will be covered. Responses and adaptations to temperature extremes, hypobaric, hyperbaric, and microgravity environments will be included. Includes laboratory. Offered spring only. Prerequisite: BIOL 202 or BIOL 205.
