3 s.h. Planned for students who have had a college course in ceramics. Experiences include: throwing on the potter's wheel, investigations into glazes and clay composition. Students will be exposed to historical and contemporary traditions of ceramics in order to provide a context for their own creative work. Students encouraged to develop personal manners of expression in using the results of their experiments with glazes and clay bodies. ( LA) Prerequisite: ARTS 137.
