Basic course in mathematics for prospective elementary teachers, also suitable as an in-service course for teachers or an elective for liberal arts students. Exploratory-level introduction of algorithms in their simplest form gradually increases in difficulty to the symbolic and mastery level using inductive and deductive reasoning.
