Study of internal and external factors influencing the mental health of individuals and families and the effect of mental health disorders on the individual, family, and community. Topics include pathological processes, application of nursing process and curative factors, and health promotion. Primary focus on helping clients to achieve healthy adaptation to factors influencing mental health across the life span. Sp.
