Study of art therapy as an action-oriented means for self-exploration and growth. Students explore the creative process of art as healing and life-enhancing, discovering insights about the internal (thoughts, feelings, and perceptions) as well as outer realities and life experiences. Also explores the role of imagery in solving problems, releasing powerful or distressing emotions, recovering from traumatic losses or experiences, and alleviating pain and other physical symptoms.
