Introduces college writing to students who are transitioning from high school to college. Students will practice creative, narrative, and thesis-driven writing through short exercises and assignments and will also review mechanics and sentence formation. A term paper synthesizing shorter work will teach organizational skills, revision, and editing. Classes will include lecture, discussion, in-class writing, and peer review. 2 credits
