Topics include equations and inequalities; polynomials; rational expressions; rational exponents, roots and radicals; quadratic equations; graphing of equations in two variables; systems of equations and inequalities; and functions. This course cannot be taken for credit after the completion of a higher numbered mathematics course. Unrestricted elective only. Prerequisite: MAT101 or Placement examinations
