This course is designed to acquaint students with an integrated approach to children's literature and language arts. Folk and multicultural literature and contemporary issues in children's literature will be examined. Students are provided with the opportunity to observe and apply essential knowledge in an early childhood setting, explore the use of technology in education settings, and plan literature based units.
