The course is an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics necessary for generalist social work practice. In addition to teaching about the uses of statistics, the course will include hypothesis testing, correlation, and bivariate relationships. Students will learn to analyze, present, and interpret data utilizing statistics and methodologies learned in the prerequisite course using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) computer application for data analysis.
