Prerequisites: BIO 3160 or BIO 2240. Pharmacology encompasses the study of the effects of chemical substances on living organisms. This course examines four basic areas in Pharmacology: (1) principles of drug action, (2) pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism, (3) pharmacology of the nervous system, and (4) drug design. There will be three lecture hours per week.
