Prerequisite: ART 1010. A study of advanced color theories and their application as well as an investigation of physical aspects of color perception and manipulation using subtractive color processes. Projects will focus on the emotional impact of color combinations and a more thorough understanding of pigment properties. The course will also include the compositional principles of gestalt, rhythm, variety, repetition, balance, emphasis, and proportion. Extensive outside work required. ($35.00 course fee)
