Current elementary school methods in the teaching of reading, instructional planning, language acquisition, student assessment, and teaching materials in the _eld of elementary language arts and reading. Reading Recovery, Title I, and other reading support programs are addressed. Development of a curriculum unit in both subject areas. Thirty hours of observation-practicum in the schools. Students must provide their own transportation. This course must be taken PRIOR to student teaching. Prerequisite: EDU 317. LUCK
