Strategies and methods of teaching General Music in secondary school settings. Topics will include music appreciation, history, theory, composition, alternative performance, and the special needs of adolescents. Active participation in classroom music activities will facilitate development of students' musical, pedagogical, creative, and critical thinking with a view toward empowering them to develop and carry out their own curriculum.
