A writing-centered course that will introduce students to the art of writing in French. The two fundamental principles underlying this course will be the interdependence of reading and writing skills and the importance of a variety of models in teaching students the different styles of French composition. Consideration will be given to such writing strategies as notes and outlines and such styles as summaries, reports, portraits, essays and correspondence.
