Intensive examination of methods and materials critical to establishing a positive learning environment and implementing effective instruction of early adolescents. This course will assist students in developing skills and strategies to address issues of cognitive and affective development appropriate to the middle grades and to prepare them to teach social studies, science, math, and language arts in an interdisciplinary middle level classroom.
