This course, in the broadest sense, covers the history of America from the Revolution to the rise of the Jeffersonians, 1763-1800. During the course of the semester students will explore the origins, meaning and consequences of the Colonial America's Revolution, looking at how the struggle for the Colonies' struggle for independence from England impacted America society, politics, culture and economics, eventually giving shape to the United States.
