This course introduces students to the major issues and concepts of international and global studies. This includes the historical development of the international system, as well as economic, geographic, and political influences. Issues analyzed include war, economic interdependence, global poverty, terrorism, globalization, and genocide. Special mphasis is placed on exploring the impact of global politics on the lives of people around the globe. This course is cross listed with POS 136S, World Politics.
