HTY 200 will introduce the student to the dynamics of the discipline of history scholarship. Topics will include an overview of subfields in the discipline and analysis of the key components of historical literature, i.e., thesis, theory, methodology, and sources. Students will learn to read critically and develop their writing skills, stressing analysis and argumentation. Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing. Every year. Credit: 4
