An introduction to the American legal system, with an overview of fundamental concepts and principles. A variety of legal topics, terminology, and areas of law are discussed, such as contracts, real property, torts, civil litigation, constitutional law, criminal law, and administrative law. Prerequisites: 12 credits in general education, 2.0 minimum GPA, and permission of department. No credit will be given to students who have received credit for LAH 201 Introduction to the Legal System.
