This class teaches future music educators improvisatory skills and techniques and the pedagogy of improvisation. Course format includes lecture, live performance, hands-on practical application, and analysis. Students gain skill and confidence in improvisation as well as develop strategies for future use in their school music programs. Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Music Education sophomore evaluation.
