A general overview of the health care system in today's society. Working in teams, students investigate current health care issues and must demonstrate competency in oral and written communication and utilization of the library. Topics include health care systems, health care reform, medical ethics, universal precautions, AIDS, alternative medicine and the roles and responsibilities of allied health professionals. Prerequisite: ENHP 140 or permission of instructor.
