Topics include rare blood group antigens, donor selection, component preparation and storage, blood needs in emergency situations, transfusion reaction procedures, histocompatibility, autoimmune hemolytic anemia, polyagglutination, and problem solving in the transfusion service. Prerequisites: MT 442 and 447, or permission of instructor.
