A survey of pharmacology, including the description of the action, use, and toxicity of the major classes of drugs, and the nature of and therapy for the major diseases that are responsive to drug therapy. Classes of drugs include hormones, barbiturates, opiates, amphetamines, diuretics, anesthetics, and antibiotics. Diseases include cancer, heart disease, infection, schizophrenia, and arthritis. Prerequiste: CH 114, or CH 110 and CH 111.
