A course in the observation/assessment of academic and social skills, lesson and unit planning, effective teaching behaviors, and classroom management for young children with diverse abilities. Strategies to teach concepts, skills, and generalizations at the early childhood level are emphasized. Strategies to adapt the classroom to the needs of special populations will be explored. A field component will be required. Prerequisites: EDF 120 and EDH 120.
