Design case studies, structured laboratory, and laboratory project. Design economics, quality, and reliability issues. VLSI performance optimization: objectives, constraints, designable parameters, algorithms. Introduction to neural networks for modeling and optimization. Prerequisites: ECE 565 (minimum grade of C-) and senior or graduate standing. Laboratory fee.
