A capstone architectural design studio course with a focus on schematic design, design development, and construction documents, including selected wall sections of a nonresidential building. Emphasis is on developing the student's ability to select, apply, and evaluate materials and construction techniques for a design project, based on the integration of the elements of architectural design, structure, and environmental systems, design factors, cost, specifications, and code applicability. Principles and practices of "green" design are addressed through LEED.Two lecture hours, six lab hours. Prerequisites: AET 232, AET 241, AET 242, AET 352, and AET 355; corequisite: AET 364; or permission of instructor or chair. Laboratory fee.
