This course focuses on the integration of environmental control systems in architecture. The course explores factors affecting comfort, health, and safety. The fundamentals of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical systems, lighting, water supply, plumbing, drainage, and acoustics are studied. Applicable code requirements and energy conservation measures are included. Four lecture hours. Prerequisites: MTH 112 and PHY 121, or permission of instructor or chair.
