This course provides the necessary skills to understand the role of statistics in business decision making. Topics include a review of basic mathematics relevant in business, and linear and nonlinear applications of quantitative techniques and optimization procedures. Data analysis, probability, random variables, binomial probability distribution, the role of expected values in decision making in business are also covered. Excel and other statistical software are used for problem solving. Prerequisite: M110. Laboratory fee.
