A study of the circum- Caribbean, not as an expansion of European culture but as a meeting point for four cultures: Amerindian, African, Asian, and European. Special attention will be given to the following: economic, political, and cultural development; the development of multiracial societies. Disciplinary, multicultural, and comparative approach.
