This course is an introduction to professional practices within the field of painting. Students develop a realistic understanding of the ways artists build their careers through fellowships, exhibitions, residencies, and job opportunities, and gain practical knowledge in developing self-promotional materials, studio management skills, and gallery exhibitions. Presentations by practicing artists and art professionals, along with artist's studio, gallery, and museum visits, are integral to this course. Prerequisites: DWG 310, PTG 330, and PTG 331.
