PQ: PHYS 14300, or PHYS 13300 and MATH 22000. This course is an introduction to quantum physics. Topics include Einstein's quantum theory of light, the wave nature of particles, atomic structure, the Schr dinger equation, quantum mechanics in one and three dimensions, barrier penetration and tunneling, and the hydrogen atom.
