The goal of this course is to analyze the impact of the human enterprise on the world that sustains it. Topics include human population dynamics, historical trends in human well-being, and our use of natural resources-especially in relation to the provision of energy, water, and food-and the impacts that these activities have on the range of goods and services provided by geological/ecological systems.
