An introductory course in the basic processes and techniques of investment casting of nonferrous metals, particularly, bronze. Students learn preparation methods of direct wax construction, spruing and venting techniques, mold preparation and investing, pouring and finishing techniques. Safety is stressed throughout the course. Prerequisites: SCL 220 and SCL 221.
