PQ: MATH 10600, or placement into 13100 or equivalent; or consent of departmental counselor required; previous computer experience and advanced mathematical knowledge not required. CMSC 10500 and 10600 may be taken in sequence or individually. This course meets the general education requirement in the mathematical sciences. This course introduces computer programming using the functional programming language Scheme. We emphasize design, algorithm construction, and procedural/functional/data abstraction. Autumn.
