This course focuses on pathogenic and saprophytic microorganisms pertaining to man; host resistance, biologic reactions and characteristics of cell-colony morphology. Identification techniques, sterility techniques, antibiotic sensitivity testing, mutants, mode of transmission are also covered. Prerequisites: BIOL 301 and approval of instructor.
