History 0220 focuses on the major economic, intellectual, political, religious and social developments on the African continent from the origins of man to 1600 A.D. History 0221 analyzes the Atlantic slave trade, colonialism, nationalist movements, and neocolonialism on the African continent from 1600 A. D. to the present. Prerequisites: HIST 0103 and HIST 0104
