Fundamental concepts of the UNIX operating systems including the file system, basic commands, I/O redirection, pipes, process, shell, shell programming, and UNIX environment. Introduction to C-language, C-programming applications to science and engineering problems. Prerequisites: CSCI 205/CSCI 220 or Departmental Approval. This course cannot be used as a CSCI elective for CSCI majors.
