1st Semester. Lect. 3, 3 credits. A comprehensive survey of the marketing system. The course is designed to meet the needs of students who will be taking only the basic course in marketing as well as those specializing in marketing. The dominant theme throughout the course is that marketing is an important sub-system of the business organization. Marketing is mainly concerned with the matching of markets and products and effective ownership transfer. Thus, students will be exposed to those business activities involved in moving goods and services from manufacturing and other producers to final consumers and users. Prerequisite: ECON 0201, 0202.
