2nd Semester. Lect. 3, 3 credits. This course reviews the organization of American industries under various states of the market, market structure analysis, barriers to entry, and workable competition. Also included is an evaluation of government policy with respect to concentration, mergers, and oligopoly conduct along with foreign approaches to monopoly problems and an appraisal of current structural trends and policy alternatives. Prerequisites: ECON 0201, 0202.
