Summer. Lect. 6, Lab 6, 2 credits. Lectures, audiovisual presentations and practical exercises to guide students to further study of the classification, anatomy and ecology of cetaceans. Laboratory exercises focus on anatomy and diseases of cetaceans by carrying out necropsy of animals collected through the Marine Mammal Stranded Network. Prerequisite: BIOL 0310 or 0557 and permission of instructor.
