The course examines selected literary works from the period of Neoclassicism through the Post-modern age. Major topics of philosophical thought of the time period are also discussed with the intent of analyzing and interpreting their effects upon the author's worldview and his or her writings. The impact of these values upon contemporary society will be discussed as well for the purpose of comparing and contrasting those viewpoints with that of modern Christianity.
