An introduction to the structures and processes common to all of life. The course explores topics in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell structure and function, transmission genetics, evolutionary theory, and population ecology. The laboratory portion of the course is inquiry-based and will introduce students to the methods and theory of modern biology. Three hours of lecture, three hours of laboratory per week.
