Further investigation of formal, expressive, conceptual, and technical aspects of sculpture. This course emphasizes individual exploration leading toward self-directed studio practice. A number of techniques and materials are available for consideration, which may include welding, metalworking (forging), casting and carving processes. During the spring semester, selected works may be cast in bronze. Readings and discussions complement studio practice. Prerequisite: AR251.
