(formerly SPA 251, 311) This course introduces the student to the most important and influential artistic and ideological movements of 20th and 21st centuries in Spain. Throughout the course, the student will study representative literary works by authors from the "Generacion del 98'' to the latest contemporary writers. The selection of works is varied in order to encompass different genres-novel, short story, poetry, drama, essay styles and worldviews, and to exercise different critical and analytical approaches to the texts. Prerequisite: SPA 307. 3 credits
