(formerly SOC 135; formerly Crime and Delinquency) This course centers on the nature of juvenile delinquency, including a discussion of the major theories and prevalent factors that contribute to an understanding of delinquency. In addition, emphasis is placed on society's reaction to youth crime and violence, and the various institutions and aftercare facilities that serve delinquents.
