(formerly PSY 157, PSY 256) Major theories in sensation and perception are discussed. Auditory, visual and other sensory systems will be considered in relation to behavior. Topics will include sensory coding, properties of stimuli and psychophysical research. Practical application of the processes underlying the relationships between sensation and perception will be demonstrated. Prerequisite: PSY 111. (Offered Spring) 3 credits
