(formerly SPA 213, 303, 322) This course offers a detailed study of some of the most representative literary works, authors and trends of Latin American Literature from the Pre-Colonial times to the present day. The main goal of this course is to provide the student with a panorama of Latin American Literature through a cultural, thematic, textual and analytical approach. Class discussions will revolve around topical questions related to the texts and their literary movement to further develop critical reading skills. Prerequisite: SPA 307.
