This is a Level I course which will present the theories of growth and development. Psychosexual, psychosocial, cognitive and biological theories are discussed as they relate to each stage of the development process. Strategies for health promotion, interventions and anticipatory guidance are addressed. The role of the professional nurse at each life stage is discussed. Prerequisite: BIO 120, PSY 111. Pre- or corequisite: SOC 101 or 161 or 166, NUR 130. Corequisite: BIO 121. Dual Degree students only. Fee-$30.00. 3 credits
