This Level II course builds on knowledge from the sciences and the Level I nursing courses. The etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, and implications of selected disease processes are introduced. Content includes stress response, deviations in cellular activity, inflammatory processes, immune response, and fluid and electrolyte balance across the lifespan. Prerequisites: BIO 120, 121, 245, CHE 112; PSY 111; SOC 101/166. Corequisites: NUR 209, 239; BIO 247. Pre- or Corequisites: NUR 129, 139. (Offered Fall, Spring) Fee-$30.00. 3 credits
